Book Overview

Sun Tzu's book is one of the most valuable works in human history, but mastering its principles from just reading it is like mastering geometry by simply reading Euclid.

To get you started, we give you  an idea what the book covers in this brief summary of its chapters. Once you understand the history of the text, you can appreciate why its principles are just now beginning to be taught in a more structured way.

If you compare different English translations, you begin to understand the challenges in translating this work. Unfortunately, even when well-translated, there are a number of serious barriers that stand in the way of understanding the text.

Over the years, we have developed a number of books explaining Sun Tzu's The Art of War and adapting its principles to specific competitive arenas.
